Day 33 - 2nd February 2017 - Evening Grosbeaks, Chickadee and Mourning Dove

Stars are all twinkling in the sky this morning with a chill in the air. Think my indoor/outdoor weather station needs to have batteries replaced, it's been sitting on -1 for a couple of days. Wednesday was a day of snow flurries, by late afternoon everything was decked out in a layer white. Lexi and I roamed through the hood, stopped at Lois' for tea on our afternoon run. It's hard to convince her to walk by and I have to give in and stop, Lexi loves to visit. Sometimes I think she loves Lois' for her cat food, but I'm usually fast enough and can grab the dish and put it up. Got the baking done in the morning and some work in the library (well a little). Back to the hall this morning to make sandwiches and set up for the reception this afternoon. Looks like a chance of flurries again today. Lots of birds at the feeders yesterday - but nothing new. The usual - Blue Jays, Mourning Doves, Evening Grosbeaks, Chickadees, Red Breasted Nuthatches, Junos and Song Sparrows.

My Christmas tree is adorned with Evening Grosbeaks.

The Chickadees are cute to watch, check out the snowflake on his tail.

A Mourning Dove hunkers down in a tree.

Enjoy your day!
