It's Remembrance Day, please take a few minutes this morning to remember the men and women who fought. So yesterday didn't go quite as planned - I gave into feeling miserable and spent a good portion of the day on the sofa with Lexi as my snuggle buddy. Yup - cold chills, aches, sore throat, etc. It's not quite so bad this morning - mostly has remained in my head so I feel more human and functional. And maybe if I look back, it's been coming on for a few days.
Grandmother's Journal:
11 November 1977 - Hard to remember it's Friday. Seems like Saturday. Rain showers on and off all day. Stars out tonight, colder. Windy all day and humid. Had a lazy day. Ena and Ransome up with a load of eel grass. Just as tired as if I'd worked hard all day.
12 November 1977 - Up early, cooked and scrubbed floor, changed bed etc. Barb & Judy over for supper. Made Judy a birthday cake. Bobbie & Mike trapping, not much fur. Bob sawed wood most of the day. Stan and Bettie up tonight. Played crib. Girls, Bob and Stan watched Hockey. Overcast all day, mild. Rain showers this evening.
