Mild morning, temperature is +1.7 and all the starts are out. Rain is on it's way for this evening - think we'll need to build an ark. Following the rain, temperatures will dip down again - I see ice in our future. I'm off to to town today - errands, volunteer work, catch up with the girls and find out what's been happening. Being in the woods most days you lose touch with local events and news. Sometimes that's a good thing.
Snow flurries most of the day on Tuesday, didn't amount to much other than a coating over ice so I was more than careful when Lexi and I were out roaming the hood. It was fine in the woods - just straight crunchy snow under foot. Made a cran-blueberry cake - it's good and great if you need a big dessert for a pot luck. I tried to convince some of the girls it was a healthy option - 2 servings of fruit, protein (eggs) and calcium (milk). No one would go along with me on that one. Took a few photos around the yard late afternoon after the snow stopped.
Some old rope Larry has laying around.
If all else fails - there are always lots of Chickadees around willing to pose.
Well maybe he wasn't too happy about posing.
The Wisteria has twisted and grown every where.
Branch of one of the Chestnut trees. Larry planted several from seed.
Some leftover rose hips.
Enjoy your day!
