Wednesday and I'm off to town this morning. Temperature is definitely mild at +8.7 but it's too dark yet to tell what it's doing out, suppose to be rain clearing this morning. A lot of things to get through today, hoping it goes quiet and smooth, right now I don't need a lot of life's wrinkles - have other things to do.
Fog lifted yesterday morning and it turned out beautiful - a really spring day for sure.Even with the early morning fog I stood on the back deck and you could hear the song sparrow singing, ducks going over the lake and the crows calling. Mayflowers are in bloom now, but the ones I've seen aren't quite open yet. They are the first of the spring wildflowers. Soon there will be different ones, always exciting to see what's in bloom next. I spent a good portion of the day outside - either roaming and thinking or working in the yard. It was a good day to do both. Larry was home so he and Lexi went to Upper Clyde to cut the couple of trees there he hadn't done before. No wind, so was a perfect time to finish off that project.
Soon to bloom - just another few sunny days.
Crocuses pop through the fallen leaves.
Lungworts all in bloom.
The spring bulbs are always so pretty!
I found these lamp covers somewhere and thought they might be kind of cool in a flower bed.
Was lucky to catch this male Mallard landing.
Time to get moving. Enjoy your day!
