Day 204 - 22nd July 2012 - A Day/Evening at the Harbour

Thick fog this morning, but I see cobwebs on the ground so am expecting another nice day. Not sure what we have on the list to do, but I'm certain it all won't be fun!

Saturday was a great day - spent 3 1/2 hours on the waterfront [longer than I intended] selling 50/50 tickets for the Society, went grocery shopping, then visited friends and had supper with them over at the Island's Park. Got home and decided we would go back for the parade of lights later that evening, so down to the Park we headed just before dark. Also, enjoyed some deep fried mars bars - don't snarl until  you've tried them they were yummy! It' was after 11 by the time we got home again so I was definitely late getting to bed and slept in until 6ish. Pretty good for me.
I also got lots of pictures today. Never leave home with out the camera...and tripod!
Sailboats were wondeful today on the waterfront.
The Regiment were doing their march.
More sailboats.
A Shag came in - why I have no idea with all the activity and noise going on.
The Long Boat Society were out rowing as well!
After tickets and groceries we went to visit one of my very special friend's and her husband at Islands Park, so of course had to see what the view from there looked like. You can see the Old Town Clock in the background. Barrell Factory and Cooper's Inn in the foreground on the waterfront.
Cox's Warehouse in the background, the Dory shop in the foreground. All the tents from the encampment are on the right.
Boats of all sizes were out this afternoon.

The Parade of Lights, a few of the boats did some fireworks as well.
This boat was very popular and belong to a friend's son. It does look beautiful!
Well that was our day. Time to get mobile and do a few things. Enjoy your day!
